Khao Tom [Laos]

Khao Tom from Laos Ala Tekkadancs


Ingredients :
500 gram of glutinous rice, soaked overnight
600 ml thick coconut milk, from 1 half coconut
½ teaspoon salt
250 gram sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 banana horns, cut 4
Banana leaf

Steps :
§    Cook the sticky rice, coconut milk, and sugar over medium heat until the glutinous rice. Lift.
§    add oil, mix well.
§    Take 2 banana leaves, place 2 tbsp sticky rice in the center of the leaf. Add the banana in the middle. Fold neatly on either side and up and down (like a bugis cake). Do the same for the rest of the material.
§    Steam in hot oven until cooked (± 30 minutes). Lift.
§    Serve warm.
